- POSITION OVERVIEW
The Sales Development Specialist is
responsible for managing existing automotive customers, developing new business
opportunities, preparing quotations, supporting cost negotiations, and
coordinating new product development projects.
This position will work closely with
customers and internal teams, including Engineering, Production, Quality,
Purchasing, Logistics, and Finance.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with
existing and prospective automotive customers.
- Identify new sales opportunities and support new customer and
product development activities.
- Prepare and submit customer quotations, including design cost,
tooling cost, material cost, manufacturing cost, logistics cost, and
standard cost.
- Negotiate pricing, cost changes, annual price reductions, and
commercial conditions with customers.
- Review customer RFQs, drawings, specifications, production
volumes, and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate new product development projects from RFQ through
mass-production launch.
- Monitor project schedules, quotation status, customer
approvals, tooling progress, and production readiness.
- Coordinate customer requirements with Engineering, Production,
Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics teams.
- Prepare sales forecasts, customer reports, project status
reports, and management presentations.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, delivery
concerns, and commercial issues.
- Support customer visits, business meetings, audits, and
technical or commercial presentations.
- Maintain accurate customer, quotation, pricing, and project
records.
- Travel to customer locations and other company facilities when
required.
3. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working for an automotive OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2
supplier.
- Experience handling Hyundai, Kia, Mobis, or other global
automotive customers.
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding, painting, assembly,
tooling, and automotive components.
- Experience with RFQ, APQP, PPAP, project launch, engineering
changes, and cost breakdowns.
- Experience using ERP, SAP, customer portals, or CRM systems.
- Korean language capability is preferred but not required.
- Experience coordinating with international teams in Korea, the
United States, Japan, or other countries.
